Nothing like a fresh start..

Its been ages that I have thinking of buying a camera for myself..I think I am going to take that plunge today..but lets see..well, today is 15th of June 2008. Lets see if I really get myself a camera by the end of the day. My brother's been asking..why..why this sudden whim..when we already have one with us..but..I stood by my belief that I have to buy a camera...have done some research..and yes..I am pretty excited... like Norah Jones is singing right now.."Like a flower waiting to bloom...Like the desert waiting for the rain..Like the school kid waiting for the spring.." OK..its a slight exaggeration..these lines...but I do really need one.
Will definitely upload the pics here..I need a camera..my camera...sigh... :)

Video killed the Radio Star

You want to know the best part of my day? No..not sleeping...not while reading some book, not eating:)...not anytime except the cab rides to-and-fro work. I hardly get to be ten hours at home in which time I have to sleep, eat, do the needful. About the cab rides..as soon as am on it, I ask the driver to play music...you know the oh so irritating FM radio channels! Irritating..since they repeat the same old songs, irritating...since the RJs vomit all crap, irritating since there's more of advertisings going on than the same old jaded songs. Anyways, I still ask the driver to turn on the radio..helps me keep awake. But, radio does little to dampen my spirit. Instead, with the smooth cab rides my spirit soars...While on a high, you keep the car windows open and let the wind blow on your face, on your hair. You get to be with your thoughts, you get to see interesting cars, you get to see all the greeneries on the way and wonder why there are articles on deforestation..you see life...It's like throwing a stone, you know, something like I'd learnt in physics..the projectile motion. The stone goes up up up at forty five degrees angle, goes the farthest distance at this angle and then comes crashing down...you get it? It crashes down..

right here..right now!!!

I have realized that I have been neglecting this particular blog for sometime. Being an ardent music fan, I thought I would have loads of stuff to unload here, but then, other matters always take preference. To tell you the truth, I do not even know who my favorite band is!!! And I tell that I am a music lover!!!sheeeessshhh!!!
But I’ve got to admit that I have always had an inclination towards music which have lots of acoustic guitars lending their glory. Maybe that’s the reason why I like Country Music. It has a charm of it’s own… the music and the heart wrenching lyrics. The lyrics are so real… Then there’s Norah Jones kind of music. Perfect to listen to while studying. But wait!! During my school days, I used to listen to alternative rock and get all geared up to practice mathematics. Preferences change with time…
Lyrics matter a lot as far as I am concerned. If a particular song has fabulous music yet, lyrics’ a junk, then I prefer dumping it lest I corrupt my soul…Hah!! Now that’s a pretty strong statement I’ve come up with…Lyrics matters…
As I am putting this up, I remember some years back when my cousin told her friends that I was into Country music…her friends couldn’t believe that young folks too have that flavor.
While in college hostel, my computer was always on playing my kinda music and it so happens that the kind of music I listen to, my friends haven’t even heard of it. In the hostel we could get any number and varieties of songs and their videos. We’ve just got to have the right names ready and pass it on. And in the next few days, you get that song. Those were the days…
Now, there’s hardly a free time when I can just relax and listen to my favorite numbers.. but then, that’s like asking for too much. I can just listen to it while I blog…right here…right now!!!

music to my ears

The rustling of leaves, them getting crushed beneath my feet in the autumn is music to my ears.
The raindrops falling with all its might while I lie in my bed fills me with a sense of peace.
Getting to hear the birds chirping early in the morning makes me glad that I am alive.
My folks calling me, shouting at top of their lungs just to ask me whether I am home is music to my ears.
